Kent Capps is the chief financial officer for OMNIA Partners, the largest and most experienced organization in group purchasing. OMNIA Partners serves the government, education, manufacturing and corporate markets.
As chief financial officer for OMNIA Partners, Mr. Capps and his team are responsible for all finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and tax functions for OMNIA Partners and its subsidiaries, National IPA, Prime Advantage and Corporate United.
Prior to OMNIA Partners, Mr. Capps served as a vice president—leading corporate finance, accounting and mergers and acquisition initiatives—of Provista, a leading GPO focused on nonacute care. In this role, he developed and executed Provista’s growth strategy initiatives across all business lines. Additionally, he developed and managed relationships with lenders, investment banks, private equity firms and other third-party service providers.
Prior to Provista, Mr. Capps spent two decades in finance, M&A, corporate development and investment banking. Capps was a member of the Dell Corporate Development team and Perot System’s M&A team prior to its acquisition by Dell. Earlier in his career, he worked for a merchant banking firm in Dallas focused on principal investing and corporate advisory engagements. He also provided M&A consulting services focused on the healthcare services sector at KPMG. Mr. Capps began his career in the investment banking division of Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) in New York as a member of the healthcare coverage group.
