Cory Knoot, Ph.D.

Cory Knoot, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biological research. They began their career as a Research Assistant in the Erik Vollbrecht Group at Iowa State University, where they focused on studying the meristem developmental pathways of Zea mays. They then continued their education at the University of Minnesota, where they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Doctoral Candidate in the John D Lipscomb Group. Their research focused on studying the mechanisms of biological dioxygen activation. They completed their doctoral dissertation titled "Mechanistic and structural studies of the non-heme iron oxygenase enzymes protocatechuate 3,4-dioxygenase, CmlA, and CmlI".
