Douglas Ridder has worked in the software engineering field since 2003. Douglas began their career at Azaire Networks as a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead, developing a WLAN/UMTS connectivity client application for Windows 2K/XP/Vista on notebooks and Windows CE 5.0 on PDAs. In 2007, they joined Rovi Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, developing an UPnP/DLNA core SDK to enable end-product manufacturers to incorporate UPnP/DLNA-certified Digital Media Server (DMS), Digital Media Renderer (DMR), Digital Media Player (DMP), and Digital Media Controller (DMC) applications into their products. Douglas then moved to SiBEAM at Lattice Semiconductor (formerly Silicon Image) in 2012, where they served as a Staff Software Engineer, developing code for the SiBEAM 802.11ad (WiGig) product. In 2018, they became the Senior Lead Software Engineer at OmniPreSense Corporation.

Douglas Ridder holds a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Physics from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering from Caltech.
