Curtis Ray has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. In 1990, they founded Microflow, an advanced development MEMs Foundry, and served as CEO. In 1994, they joined Input/Output as VP Special Projects. From 2000 to 2004, they were VP Product Development at Blaze Network Products, where they managed the engineering department for 10 gigabit multi wavelength transceivers and grew the company from 8 to 110 employees. From 2004 to 2009, they served as CEO of LV Sensors, where they co-founded the company, developed early engineering, operations and applications departments, and was responsible for the patent portfolio and intellectual property protection. In 2009, they joined Sensicus, Inc. as CEO. From 2012 to 2014, they were VP Engineering and Advisor at Tactus Technology. During this time, they also served as Board Member at Lumedyne Technologies. In 2015, they founded Hupnos and served as CEO, and also became an Advisor at Sutro. Currently, they are Head of Business Development at Omnitron Sensors and an Advisor for the company. Curtis is a leader in developing and launching technology products and known as one of the early thought leaders of MEMS.
Curtis Ray completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University between 1977 and 1981. Curtis then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1982 to 1986, though they did not earn a degree. In 1988, they earned their MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
