Tomas Geurts

Tomas Geurts has extensive work experience in the field of image sensors. Tomas is currently working as a Senior Engineering Director at OmniVision Technologies, Inc., where they are responsible for leading the integration of a new team in Belgium. Tomas is also contributing to global strategy, technology direction, and M&A as a member of the office of the CTO.

Before joining OmniVision Technologies, Inc., Tomas held the role of Situational Leader, where they successfully integrated a team of 18 image sensor experts into a new company.

Prior to that, Tomas served as the CTO of Industrial, Machine Vision & Robotics Image Sensor BU at ON Semiconductor for a decade. In this role, they bridged the gap between marketing and engineering, translating application and customer requirements into product architectures and technology roadmaps.

Tomas also gained valuable experience at Cypress Semiconductor, where they held various roles such as Senior Product Development Manager, New Product Development Program Manager, and Senior Staff Design Engineer. During their time at Cypress Semiconductor, they were responsible for new product development, project management, and design of ADC and read-out circuits for CMOS image sensors.

At the start of their career, Tomas worked at Ansem as a Project Leader and Design Engineer, where they led custom design projects and played a key role in the development of SerDes technology.

Tomas Geurts holds a PostGraduate degree in Business Administration from KU Leuven, which they obtained between 2003 and 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, completing their studies between 1994 and 1999. Earlier in their education, Tomas attended Stedelijke Humaniora Dilsen from 1988 to 1994, where they focused on subjects related to Mathematics and Sciences.
