Catalin Hristescu

Catalin Hristescu has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Catalin started their career in the Romanian Air Forces as the Head of Maintenance Office before transitioning to a role as an Art Director at Eye Advertising. Following that, they worked at Blue Planet Investments as a Wind Specialist and later as a Project Manager in Renewables Project Development. Catalin then moved to OMV Petrom, where they held multiple roles, including Senior Project Manager for Construction and Development of Renewables Power Plants, Senior Department Manager in Value Chain Management, and eventually as the Head of Portfolio Management. At OMV Petrom, they were responsible for leading portfolio optimization initiatives and managing various aspects of gas and power trading. Catalin'sexperience also includes managing construction activities, subcontractors, and stakeholder relations for renewable energy projects.

Catalin Hristescu completed a Power 2 Manage program training certificate at IMD in 2014. Catalin then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Business Administration in the Energy sector at Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Dipl. Eng. degree in Avionics from the Military Technical Academy between 1994 and 2000. Catalin also received additional certifications in areas such as Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Rapid Prototyping.
