Agnes Garcias Lopez has a range of work experience in the fields of immunology and cancer drug development. Agnes began their career in 2011 with an undergraduate internship at the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA) - CSIC. Agnes returned to the same institute in 2012 for a second internship. In 2013, they completed an undergraduate internship at the University of Copenhagen. From 2016 to 2021, they were a PhD in Mucosal Immunology at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they identified the molecular requirements that drive activation and migration of intestinal dendritic cells in response to classical adjuvants. Agnes also had a visiting PhD student role at Monash University's Biomedicine Discovery Institute in 2019. Since 2021, they have been a Postdoctoral Scientist in Preclinical Cancer Drug Development at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Agnes is currently a Postdoctoral Scientist in CAR-T cell therapy at Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS) and a Scientist at ONA Therapeutics.
Agnes Garcias Lopez's education history includes a Degree in Biotechnology from the Universitat de Barcelona, which they completed between 2010 and 2014. Agnes then went on to do an Erasmus scholarship at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2013 to 2014. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2014 to 2016.
