Lisa Buvall

Lisa Buvall has extensive work experience in the field of bioscience and academia. Lisa currently holds the position of Senior Director Renal Bioscience, Early CVRM at AstraZeneca since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director/Team leader Renal bioscience at AstraZeneca from July 2021 to June 2022, and as the Ass. Director/Team leader CKD from April 2018 to July 2021. Before joining AstraZeneca, Lisa founded and owned Oncorena AB in March 2011. Lisa also worked as an Associate professor/Docent at Göteborgs universitet from July 2014 to June 2022. Lisa gained research experience during their time as a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from October 2010 to November 2014, as well as at Massachusetts General Hospital from October 2010 to October 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Post Doc at the University of Miami from December 2009 to September 2010, and at the University of Gothenburg from October 2006 to December 2009.

Lisa Buvall earned their PhD in Cardiology from the University of Gothenburg, where they attended from 2001 to 2006.
