James Thornton has a diverse work experience in various environmental and ecological roles. James started their career as a Summer Intern at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in 2015. In 2018, they joined Mott MacDonald, where they worked as a Seasonal Ecologist, Graduate Ecologist, and later as an Ecologist. James then moved on to Greengage Environmental Ltd in 2022, where they held the position of Data/GIS Consultant. Currently, James is working at One Click LCA as a Biodiversity & Product Specialist, starting in May 2023.
James Thornton has a diverse education history spanning from high school to postgraduate studies. James obtained 8 GCSEs, including Maths, Biology, Physics, and English, from Lawrence Sheriff School between the years 2003 and 2008. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued an Animal Management Level 3 National Diploma at WCG. Continuing their studies at the same institution, they completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Countryside Management from 2011 to 2013. James then furthered their education at Bournemouth University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation from 2014 to 2017. Most recently, they enrolled at Queen Mary University of London from 2021 to 2022 and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Computing and Information Systems.
