Eric Chan

Eric Chan is a data scientist at OneCup AI. Eric previously worked as a research assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from May 2019 to December 2020. During their time there, they created a voice command matching API with Flask and Python, and designed and implemented data structures/models in MongoDB and Redis in order to reduce run time by 40%. Eric also built a real-time web-based platform for communication and aviation logistics management as a part of IoT-Augmented Airfield Service System. Additionally, they investigated and recommended Messaging Queue Protocols solution to cut down costs while improving security.

Eric Chan has a Master of Science from Simon Fraser University in Computer Science with a Big Data Concentration, and a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering.
