William Murphy has a diverse work experience in the social service sector. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Youth Advocate at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., where they maintained a caseload of youth in residential or foster care and provided counseling, mentoring, and advocacy. From 2008 to 2011, they served as the Director of Programs and Operations at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County/Be-A-Friend Program, Inc., overseeing program staff and managing agency operations. Then, at iMentor, they held two roles: Associate Director of Research and Evaluation from 2011 to 2017, and Director of Program Quality and Implementation from 2017 to 2022. In these positions, they designed and implemented data collection and evaluation processes, developed reporting tools, and led training initiatives. Currently, they are the Managing Director of Program Learning at OneGoal, where they lead the creation of systems and structures to leverage data for decision-making and supports team members in achieving outcomes and growth.
William Murphy graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and English from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. William attended the university from 2004 to 2007.
