Lew Dryfoos III is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Lew began their career in the United States Army as an Army Officer from May 1986 to December 1991. Following their military service, Lew became the President of Dryfoos Insurance Agency in December 1991, where they specialized in commercial property and casualty insurance and risk management for small to mid-sized businesses until February 2017. In March 2017, Lew assumed the role of Pennsylvania Regional President at ONEGROUP Risk Management and Insurance, where they led the Pennsylvania region of the company from their Syracuse headquarters.
Lew Dryfoos III, CPCU, MLIS has a diverse educational background. Lew attended MMI Preparatory School from 1977 to 1982, where they obtained their high school diploma. Following this, from 1982 to 1986, they studied History at the United States Military Academy at West Point, earning their Bachelor of Science degree. In 1986, Lew furthered their education by attending the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, where they focused on German Language Proficiency for a year.
In addition to their formal education, Lew also holds two certifications. In 1995, they obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter certification from The Institutes. Most recently, in December 2019, they acquired the Management Liability Insurance Specialist certification from the International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI).
