Andrew Cassidy

Andrew Cassidy has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and software engineering. Andrew is currently the Director of Engineering - Data & Product at Onehot Labs since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Onehot Labs from July 2018 to January 2021. Andrew also has experience as a Freelance Data Scientist, Software Engineer, and Online Educator during the period of July 2017 to July 2018. Andrew worked as a Teacher's Assistant for Machine Learning and Machine Learning for Trading at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2016 to August 2017.

Before pursuing freelance work and education, Andrew worked as a Data Scientist at Commonwealth Computer Research, Inc. from August 2011 to December 2015. In this role, they developed and maintained data mining and machine learning software solutions, with a focus on geospatial predictive analytics for insurgent activity and modeling insurgent networks. Andrew also gained experience in consumer marketing analytics. Andrew started their career as an Advanced Technology Initiative Intern at SRC in June 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Inova Solutions for a brief period in June to August 2009.

Throughout their career, Andrew Cassidy has demonstrated a passion for building state-of-the-art systems to extract insights from data and has a strong foundation in machine learning and data science.

Andrew Cassidy began their education at Grafton High School, although the specific start and end years are unknown. After completing high school, they attended the University of Virginia from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering. Later, from 2015 to 2017, Andrew pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
