Romain JL Fétick is a Research Engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab since October 2020, focusing on adaptive optics design and control algorithms. Previously, Fétick completed a PhD in inverse problems applied to optics at Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille from October 2017 to October 2020. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at CNRS, enhancing image post-processing in astrophysics, and an internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) working on the LIGO project, specifically examining the impact of a "quantum squeezer" on advanced-LIGO. An earlier internship at the SETI Institute involved improving a laser’s wave front using a nano-metric segmented mirror. Fétick holds an Engineer’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO and a Master’s Degree in astrophysics, heliophysics, and planetology from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
