Co-founder, CEO And Board Chair at OneSeventeen Media

Beth Carls is the co-founder and CEO of OneSeventeen Media. Beth has also previously worked with the Spanx Foundation, Health Wildcatters, SXSW, B Lab, and MindOH! Foundation.

Beth has always been driven by their desire to help others. This led their to co-founding MindOH! Foundation, a nonprofit that seeks to increase the reach and impact of character education to motivate youth to practice moral and ethical behavior. Beth served as the Secretary/Treasurer for MindOH! Foundation from March 2002 until December 2008.

In 2009, Beth decided to pursue a career in media. Beth began working at OneSeventeen Media, a company that creates positive media for teens and young adults. Beth quickly rose through the ranks at OneSeventeen Media, and they are now the co-founder and CEO of the company.

Under Beth's leadership, OneSeventeen Media has become one of the most successful media companies in the world. The company's mission is to create positive media that inspires and entertains teens and young adults. OneSeventeen Media's products include magazines, websites, books, and films.

Beth's work has been recognized by numerous organizations. In 2018, they were named one of Forbes' "30 Under 30" in media. Beth was also honored with the "Change Maker" award by We Are Family Foundation in 2019.

Beth Carls has a BBA from Sam Houston State University in Marketing and Psychology and an MBA from Abilene Christian University in Marketing and Management. Beth also has certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in Youth Mental Health First Aider and from the U.S. Green Building Council in Green Classroom Professional.
