Robert Kakooza (FCCA, CPA, MSc.ICF, BCOM)

Robert Kakooza has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Robert is currently working as the Finance Director at OneWorld Health, where they oversee financial operations, supports strategic vision, manages grants, and leads the budgeting process. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Finance at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya, where they provided leadership to a team of finance officers and managed the overall finance function of the hospital. Robert also worked as an Accountant at both St. Francis Hospital Nsambya - Kampala and The HUB, and as a Financial Consultant at GFI (U LTD). Robert began their career at Finance Trust, where they were involved in financial reporting, cash and treasury monitoring, banking, and customer service supervision. Robert holds professional qualifications including FCCA, CPA, MSc.ICF, and BCOM.

Robert Kakooza has a comprehensive education history in accounting and finance. Robert began their education journey at Makerere University from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting & Finance. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Uganda Management Institute from 2010 to 2011, where they completed a Post Graduate in Financial Management, focusing on Accounting & Finance.

In 2012, Kakooza enrolled in ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and studied there until 2015, earning their ACCA qualification. This ACCA designation further solidified their expertise in accounting.

Continuing their pursuit for knowledge and professional growth, Kakooza attended The University of Salford from 2019 to 2021, where they completed the degree program of MSc. International Corporate Finance. During this program, they specialized in risk management, international financial management, and corporate finance.

With their diverse education background consisting of a Bachelor's degree, postgraduate studies, ACCA qualification, and MSc. in International Corporate Finance, Kakooza has built a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and corporate finance.
