Debmalya Lahiri has extensive work experience in the field of security and fire safety. DEBMALYA is currently the Chief Security Officer at ONGC Tripura Power Company Ltd. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Security Officer and Manager Security and Fire Safety at Damodar Valley Corporation for 25 years and 5 months. DEBMALYA has also worked as an Inspector/Exe in the Central Industrial Security Force for 10 years. Debmalya's career in security started in 1985 when they joined the Central Industrial Security Force as a Head of Security & Fire Engineer. DEBMALYA later became a Chief Security Officer at Damodar Valley Corporation. Overall, Debmalya Lahiri has over 35 years of experience in security and fire safety management.

Debmalya Lahiri's education history begins in 1981 when they attended the University of Calcutta. There, they pursued a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Chemistry, which they completed in 1984. Following this, from 1988 to 1992, Lahiri enrolled in the Institution of Fire Engineers India, where they obtained a degree in Graduate Fire Engineers, focusing on Fire Science and Firefighting. Lastly, in 2008 and 2009, Lahiri attended Annamalai University to receive a Diploma of Education in Industrial Safety Technology/Technician.
