Austin Ruiz has a diverse work experience. Austin began their career as a Student at Fordham University in 2011. In 2014, they worked as an Engineering Intern - Business & Process Development at Stryker. Austin then worked at Stryker from 2015 to 2022, in roles such as Senior Engineer, Triathlon Limb Salvage, Senior Engineer, Primary Robotic Implants, Senior Engineer, Specialty Instruments, and Engineer, Specialty Instruments. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and project managing specialty surgical instruments, onboarding and mentoring new team members, and providing surgeon-specific instrument solutions. Additionally, they were the US point-of-contact for all specialty instruments orders in the Southwest region. Austin then moved to Onkos Surgical in 2022, where they are currently a Senior Product Development Engineer.
Austin Ruiz completed their secondary education at Seton Hall Prep from 2007 to 2011. Austin then attended Fordham University from 2011 to 2015, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering Physics and a Minor in Mathematics. In 2015, they began a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Biomedical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2018.
