Sushanta Mallick, PhD, MBA

Sushanta Mallick, PhD, MBA has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1991, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In 1993, they began working at Alcon, a Novartis company, in various roles such as Associate Director, Development, Assistant Director, Development, Senior Clinical Research Scientist, Clinical Research Scientist, and Research Scientist. In 2010, they were Head, Clinical Research and Development at ESBATech, an Alcon Biomedical Research/Novartis company. From 2012 to 2015, they were Vice President, Research and Development at QLT Inc. and Vice President, Clinical Research/Glaucoma at Aerie Pharmaceuticals. From 2016 to 2020, they were Vice President and Global Development Lead, Ophthalmology at Takeda/Shire. Currently, they are Chief Development Officer at ONL Therapeutics.

Sushanta Mallick received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of North Texas in 1990. In 1995, they earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Texas at Dallas, with a focus on Marketing and International Management. Sushanta also holds a M. Pharm. from Jadavpur University, which they obtained in 1982, and a B.Pharm. from the same university, which they received in 1980.
