David Morales-Arias has a diverse and extensive work experience. David is currently serving as the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) at OnlinePajak, where they lead various functions such as strategy, finance, human resources, general counsel, public policy, and government relations. Prior to their current role, they worked as the Chief Commercial Officer & Head of Corporate Strategy at Alibaba Group from 2019 to 2021. Before joining Alibaba, David held multiple roles at Lazada, including Chief Operating Officer (COO), SVP & Group Director of Category Strategy, VP & Group Manager of Category Management, and Senior Group Manager of Category Management from 2014 to 2019. David also worked as a Business Development Manager at Rocket Internet SE from 2012 to 2013 and as a Business Strategy Associate at Prosus Ventures from 2011 to 2013. David's career started as a co-founder of Pink Ant Fashion, Streetwear in 2006. Through these various positions, David has gained extensive experience in strategy, operations, category management, and business development.

David Morales-Arias has an extensive educational background. David started their education at the American International School of Johannesburg, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they attended the University of Cape Town from 2002 to 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Science (B.BSc) with a specialization in Marketing.

In 2018 and 2019, David enrolled in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Stanford University School of Engineering, focusing on developing skills and knowledge in this field.

Recently, in 2020, David joined Harvard Business School for an Executive MBA / PLDA, which they are expected to complete in 2022. David'scurrent area of study at Harvard is Business Administration and Management, General.

To complement their education, David also obtained a certification in SQL Fundamentals from ITC Infotech in February 2022.
