Randy Smith has a varied work experience in the field of learning and development. Randy has most recently worked as the Director of Learning and Development at OnPoint Community Credit Union since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Learning and Development Manager at the same company from February 2020 to April 2023. Before joining OnPoint, Randy held the position of Talent Development Officer at Umpqua Bank from October 2016 to February 2020, where their responsibilities included designing talent review processes, creating training programs, and providing guidance on performance management. From May 2006 to October 2016, they worked as a Senior Learning Consultant at KeyBank, where they collaborated with executives and HR partners to develop training and leadership development strategies. Earlier in their career, Randy was a Training Manager at Tmobile Phone Zone from March 2003 to May 2006, overseeing new employee training and managing a team of trainers. Randy also served as a Leadership Trainer at Charter Communications from January 2001 to March 2003, where they developed and delivered leadership training programs.
Randy Smith obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from California State University, Chico, during the period from 1989 to 1993. Later, they pursued further education and completed a Master's degree in Communication and Media Studies at Portland State University from 1998 to 2000.
