Marika Hare has extensive work experience in various roles within the energy sector. Starting in 1980 at TransCanada Pipelines, they served as Manager of Environmental Affairs until 1990. Marika then joined Enbridge Gas Distribution, where they held positions such as Director of Regulatory Affairs and later became the General Manager of the Central Region. In 2006, they joined the Ontario Energy Board as the Managing Director of Regulatory Policy Development before transitioning to the role of Managing Director of Applications and Regulatory Audit. Marika eventually became a Board Member of the Ontario Energy Board.
Marika Hare attended the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 1987 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Environmental Studies degree at York University from 1976 to 1979. Marika completed their Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College from 1972 to 1976.
