Chief, Communications And Public Affairs at Ontario Hospital Association

Kirk LeMessurier has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Kirk most recently served as the Chief of Strategic Communications at the Ontario Hospital Association since June 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Corporate Planning and Strategy at CAMH from August 2013 to July 2018, where they were responsible for overseeing the annual priority-setting and corporate planning cycle for Canada's largest mental health teaching hospital. Kirk also played a pivotal role in implementing and setting goals for CAMH's eight-year transformational strategic plan, Vision 2020.

Between July 2015 and December 2017, Kirk worked as the Director of Operations and Planning at the Medical Psychiatry Alliance (MPA). Before that, they held the position of Manager of Planning and Community Engagement at the Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH) from December 2010 to August 2013.

Kirk's career in the healthcare industry started in 2002 when they became the Communications Manager at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Manager of Public Affairs at CAMH from December 2006 to December 2010. Kirk's earlier roles include working as an Online Editor and Content Manager at MediaMap from 1998 to 2001.

With a wide range of experience in strategic communications, corporate planning, and community engagement, Kirk LeMessurier has developed a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and has demonstrated the ability to effectively lead and implement transformative strategies and plans.

Kirk LeMessurier holds a Master of Science degree in Mass Communication, which they completed from Boston University in the years 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, Kirk has obtained certifications in "Discussing Racism with Dr. Christina Greer" and "Inclusive Mindset for Committed Allies" from LinkedIn in February 2022.
