David Sutton

David Sutton has over 20 years of work experience in the field of information technology and telecommunications. David has held various leadership positions including Senior Director of Information Technology and Information Security Officer at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Chief Architect at Yak Communications and Elink Americas, VP of Technology at Spotnik Mobile, and Director at GT Group Telecom. Prior to these roles, they were the Director of Network Operations at Tucows, Manager of IT at Alias Wavefront, and Manager of Network Operations at Cancom - Canadian Satellite Communications. David started their career as a Technologist at Sheridan College.

David Sutton attended Sheridan College from 1983 to 1985, where they studied Electronics Engineering Technology. David did not obtain a degree from this program. In 2009, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Additionally, they hold certifications from the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in the fields of privacy, known as C.Tech, CIPP/C, and CIPT respectively.
