Dara Laxer has over 15 years of experience in health policy and promotion. Dara has worked at the Ontario Medical Association since 2012, starting as a Senior Advisor and then progressing to roles such as Director, Senior Director, and currently, as the Executive Director of Health Policy and Promotion. Prior to joining the Ontario Medical Association, they worked at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as a Senior Information Management Advisor and Information Management Coordinator.
Dara Laxer completed the Advanced Health Leadership Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2019. They also earned a certificate in the Emerging Women Executives in Health Care program from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Additionally, Dara holds an Honours degree in Psychology from York University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Queen's University - School of Policy Studies.
