Stefan Surdu

Stefan Surdu, P.Eng., M.Eng., is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the energy and nuclear sectors. Currently serving as Director of Refurbishment Integration at Ontario Power Generation, Stefan oversees the refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear Generation Station and has held key roles in various nuclear projects, including the $12.8 billion Darlington Refurbishment Program. Prior to this, Stefan held multiple leadership positions at Enbridge, focusing on integrity, process safety, and energy solutions, and contributed to significant projects such as the $1 billion GTA Project. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, complemented by business strategy education from Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
