Ángel Maldonado has worked in the field of embedded engineering since 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Urban Clouds as an Embedded Systems Design Engineer and a Mechatronic Systems Engineer. During this time, they designed and developed embedded solutions for urban air pollution monitoring, as well as a semi-autonomous robot for urban cleaning operations. In 2017, they moved to Ontech Security, where they served as Head of Algorithms Area and Embedded Engineer. Ángel programmed algorithms in C for real-time data processing in embedded systems, and implemented advanced acquisition systems using microcontroller peripherals, digital signal filters, pattern detection, etc. Ángel also developed a Python toolbox for Linux to facilitate development and automate algorithm validation through automated tests. In 2018, they co-founded the Sevilla Maker Society, a non-profit association that is launching the city's first collaborative and open maker space.
Ángel Maldonado has completed a Grado en Ingeniería Electrónica, Robótica y Mecatrónica from Universidad de Málaga between 2011 and 2015, and is currently pursuing a Máster en Ingeniería de Sistemas y de Control from Universidad Complutense de Madrid since 2019.
