Bob Dixon has over 30 years of work experience in finance and accounting roles.
Bob began their career at Hess Corporation, where they held various managerial positions in shipping accounting, financial projects, and internal audit. During their time at Hess Corporation, they played a key role in restructuring the Internal Audit group and implementing best practices techniques.
After leaving Hess Corporation, Bob Dixon started their own practice as a CPA, providing audit, tax, and managerial consulting services to a range of private and governmental clients. Bob also assisted in launching an independent movie production company by establishing the partnership structure and financial model for raising seed capital.
Following their time as a self-employed CPA, Bob Dixon joined Moore Stephens, a global accountancy and advisory network, as the Supervisor of Audit Technology. In addition to managing the creation of a new ISO 9000 consulting practice, they served as the in-house IT help desk, trainer, database manager, and programmer for audit-related software.
Bob Dixon's career then took him to Johnson & Johnson, where they worked as a Senior Financial Internal Auditor. In this role, they led domestic and international financial, operational, and internal control audits, managing teams of junior auditors and addressing internal control violations and procedural breakdowns.
After Johnson & Johnson, Bob Dixon served as a Consultant for various companies, including hopTo Inc, where they held roles such as Interim CFO, Vice President of Finance, and Controller. Bob also provided CFO and Controller-level services as a consultant for start-ups in industries such as software-as-a-service and cannabis.
Bob Dixon's most recent roles include Corporate Controller at HotChalk, Inc., Director of Accounting at Aimmune Therapeutics, and Corporate Controller (Consultant) at Protagonist Therapeutics. Currently, they are the Business Unit Controller at Onto Innovation, where they utilize their expertise in process control in the semiconductor industry.
Throughout their career, Bob Dixon has demonstrated their ability to lead and contribute to strategic initiatives, implement best practices, and provide financial expertise to support business growth.
Bob Dixon attended the University of New Haven from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Financial Accounting. Following their undergraduate education, they obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of New Jersey in May 1985. In August 2009, they also became a member of American Mensa, an institution for individuals with high IQ scores.
