Sharath Prabhakaran

Sharath Prabhakaran has diverse and comprehensive work experience in the engineering industry. Sharath currently works as a Business Development Manager at ONYX InSight (formerly Romax InSight) since February 2018. Prior to this role, they were with DNV GL from June 2011 to January 2018, where they served as an Expert for Machinery Components and Key Account Manager for DNV GL Renewables Certification. In this position, they conducted gearbox design assessment calculations, examined documents, witnessed gearbox tests, and performed manufacturing inspections for wind turbine gearbox certification. Additionally, they held the responsibility of being the Key Account Manager for a leading wind turbine manufacturer.

Before their employment at DNV GL, Sharath worked at Romax Technology from March 2007 to April 2011 as a Design Engineer. During their time there, they focused on the design and analysis of wind turbine gearbox and drive train components, ranging from 750 KW to 3 MW. This involved developing concept designs, conducting gear and bearing calculations, and performing finite element analysis for structural components to predict static strength and fatigue life.

Sharath's earlier experiences include working as a Finite Element Engineer at Precihole Machine Tools Pvt Ltd from July 2006 to February 2007, and as a Trainee Engineer at Altair Engineering, Bangalore from January 2006 to June 2006.

Sharath Prabhakaran pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering, completing a Master of Engineering degree at PSG College of Technology from 2004 to 2006.
