John Fairbairn

John Fairbairn serves as Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for the firm’s people management, communications and office services activities.

Prior to joining Onyx, John worked as Human Resources Director and Board Liaison at the Seamen’s Church Institute. Previously, he worked in the engineering services and financial industries. John began his career as a human resources management trainee at the Wildlife Conservation Society.

John, the primary author of his hometown’s Open Space and Recreation Plan, received a B.A. in History and Economics from Middlebury College and an M.P.A. from New York University’s Robert Wagner School of Public Service.
