Janisa Hu

Janisa Hu is the Founder and President of Onyx Strategic Solutions, where operations began in April 2019. Previously, Janisa served as Chief of Staff for Affiniti VC, managing the acquisition of a healthcare start-up valued over $10 million and developing systems for organizational growth. At the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, Janisa conducted due diligence for $5 million in education non-profit funding and developed strategies for diversity in the educator workforce. Additional experience includes roles as a Visiting Fellow at Education Pioneers, a Middle School Math Teacher at Chengdu Meishi International School, and a 7th Grade Dean and Math Teacher at KIPP St. Louis. Janisa's background in education is complemented by a Master of Education from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a BSBA in Organizational and Human Resource Management and Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis.
