Fernando Fernández Villa

Fernando Fernández Villa has extensive experience in finance and management roles. Fernando is currently serving as the Structured Finance and M&A Director at Opdenergy since 2023. Before that, they worked as the Director Banca de Inversión at Bankinter from 2020 to 2023. From 2014 to 2020, they held the position of Structured Finance at X-Elio. Prior to that, they worked as the Dirección Económico-Financiera at ESCAL UGS (Proyecto CASTOR) (Grupo Cobra/ACS) in 2014. Additionally, they have experience in infrastructure project finance and serving on the boards of directors and management committees at GLOBALVIA from 2007 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked at Ernst & Young as a Manager in Audit and Transaction Advisory Services, and at Deloitte as an Experienced Senior in Audit and Transaction Advisory Services.

Fernando Fernández Villa has a diverse education background. Fernando obtained a Master's Degree in Public Sector Finance and PPP's Management and Financing from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2007-2008, with a focus on Project Finance. Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree as a Specialist in Auditing and Financial Accounting at the Universidad de Alcalá from 2005 to 2006, specializing in Auditing. In 1995-1999, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Loyola, with a concentration in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, Fernando has obtained several certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from ICAC- Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoria de Cuentas in 2009, Auditor Censor Jurado de Cuentas from Instituto de censores jurados de cuentas de España in 2008, and Economista Auditor from Registro Economistas Auditores in 2008. Fernando also holds a certification in Prevención de Riesgos en Sector Oficinas from Cualtis and a TOEIC certification from the TOEIC® Program, both with unspecified years of completion.
