Cyrena Gawuga, PhD, MSW, currently serves as Research Director II at NORC at the University of Chicago while also being a Board Member for the Women & Infants Foundation and an AcademyHealth Public Voices Fellow at The OpEd Project. Recent experience includes directing research at the Preparedness and Treatment Equity Coalition, focusing on health equity grant programs, and previously holding roles in operations and research at various institutions. Cyrena's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology from Brown University, two MSW degrees from Boston University with a specialization in Macro Practice, and a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from Brown University.
