Arthur Cutler has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Arthur began their career as the Founder of DC Young Nonprofit Leaders in 2002. Arthur went on to work as the Deputy Director for Network Growth at the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, where they oversaw membership expansion and implemented strategies for generating resources and revenue. From 2004 to 2009, they served as the Director of Organizational Design & Management at NDRN, providing governance, management, and administrative expertise to nonprofit and government agencies.
In 2009, Arthur started their own consulting firm called The Excelsior Consulting Group, where they provided consulting services to various organizations in the areas of governance, management, conflict resolution, and resource development. In 2012, they joined Fair Chance as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the organization's internal systems, financial management, and team leadership.
Arthur also served as the PTA President at Fort Foote Elementary from 2014 to 2020, and as the Chairman of the Membership Committee at 100 Black Men of Greater Washington DC from 2013 to 2015. Arthur then became an Adjunct Professor of Law at Michigan State University College of Law in 2017, teaching Nonprofit Law & Tax Exempt Organizations.
In 2019, Arthur took on the role of President & CEO at Open Arms Housing, and also became a Commissioner for the Prince George's County Commission on Father, Men, & Boys. Throughout their career, Arthur has demonstrated expertise in nonprofit management, governance, financial leadership, and organizational development.

Arthur attended John S. Davidson Fine Arts High School from 1985 to 1989. After completing their high school education, they obtained a Diploma from George P. Butler Comprehensive High School in 1989. Cutler then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Morehouse College, attending from 1992 to 1996. Arthur continued their education at Michigan State University College of Law, achieving a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from 1997 to 2000. Finally, in 2002 to 2003, Cutler completed a program in Nonprofit Executive Management at Georgetown University, earning a CNEM degree.
