Bart van Maarseveen has extensive work experience in the field of blockchain technology and innovation. Bart started their career in 2012 as a Co-founder and Business Creator at Leadlabs, where they developed the business concept and onboarded clients such as Mazda and Citroën Nederland. In 2014, Bart joined Divider as a Commercial Director, where they played a key role in creating product-market fits and introducing an Internet VPN proposition to mid-sized Dutch ISPs and top supermarket chains.
Since 2017, Bart has been involved in the blockchain industry, co-founding multiple ventures and communities. Bart co-founded Amsterdam Blockchain Lab, Blockdam, and Blockbar, working towards blockchain-related projects and initiatives. Bart also served as the Secretary at Autonomous Software Foundation and as an Associate at CoinCollect and Komodo Pioneers.
In 2018, Bart joined Open Food Chain as a Blockchain Solution Architect and later became an Innovation Strategist (CIO) in January 2022. Bart helped drive innovation strategies and implemented blockchain solutions for the company.
Additionally, Bart has been actively involved in the crypto and NFT space. Bart co-founded CoinCollect, a platform for collecting digital assets, and co-founded move|open, blockchain & web3, where they are involved in various roles including co-founding NFT community and events, serving as a Tech Advisor, and advising on NFTs for the music industry at Merchworld.
In 2021, Bart became a Tech Advisor at D Frame Foundation, focusing on advising on technological matters. Bart also served as an Ambassador at Komodo, promoting the platform in the crypto community.
Throughout their career, Bart has demonstrated a strong passion for blockchain technology and has made significant contributions to the industry through their various roles and ventures.
Bart van Maarseveen received their education from two institutions. From 1989 to 1992, they attended TMO Fashion Business School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Fashion Management, Business Administration, and Retail. Following this, from 1993 to 1998, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they studied Business Administration with a focus on Change Management.
In addition to their formal education, Bart van Maarseveen has also obtained certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. In December 2019, they completed the "Introduction to Digital Currencies" course offered by the University of Nicosia. Furthermore, in July 2017, they obtained the "Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP)" credential from the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium.
