Marieke de Ruyter de Wildt has a diverse range of work experience. Marieke is the founder of Open Food Chain, a role they have held since August 2017. Marieke is also the founder of Impact Factory, a position they have held since September 2008. From February 2014 to August 2017, Marieke was the Director of AgriPlace, where they managed the smart data management of farm operations globally. Prior to that, they held various roles at LEI Wageningen UR, including Head of Global Value Chains from January 2012 to January 2014, and Head of Evaluation and Impact Assessment from June 2009 to January 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Private Sector Advisor at the Department for International Development from January to September 2008. Marieke has also held positions at The Springfield Centre Limited, Centro de Estudios para el Desarrollo Rural CDR, International Labour Organization, Alternative Community Commercialisation Network RED COMAL, and Triodos Facet.
Marieke de Ruyter de Wildt holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Combined Masters Computer Science and Agricultural Economics from Wageningen University & Research. Marieke pursued this educational program from 1995 to 2001.
