Filipe Furtado

Filipe Furtado is an experienced software tester at Open Food Network, specializing in test automation using the RSpec/Capybara framework and functional testing of product developments. Prior experience includes a research position at CeNTI focusing on innovative polymeric compositions and circular economy projects, and a role as a science manager at Universidade do Minho where Filipe engaged in research data management communication. Additional experience includes significant contributions as a scientific partner for a research data repository project at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, postdoctoral research on polymer dynamics at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, and a fellowship at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research focused on risk assessment. Filipe holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Leipzig University and has pursued further education in intellectual property law.
