David Mobley

David Mobley is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chemistry at the UCI School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, where David has served since July 2018. In addition to this role, Mobley is the Chairperson of the Board at the Open Molecular Software Foundation, where the organization focuses on advancing molecular sciences through open source software. As Managing Editor for the Living Journal of Computational Molecular Science, Mobley oversees the publication of peer-reviewed works that highlight best practices in molecular modeling and simulation. Past positions include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at UC Irvine, Chief Science Officer at Simprota Corporation, and postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Francisco. Mobley's research expertise encompasses physical chemistry, drug discovery tools, and biomolecular interactions, supported by an educational background that includes a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Davis.
