Zhi Bie

Zhi Bie is a member of the technical staff at OpenAI since June 2023, previously serving as a software engineer at Google from July 2018 to June 2023 and as a summer intern at Google in 2017, where development and testing of a new voice feature for Google Assistant took place. Zhi Bie has contributed to several significant research projects as a research assistant at Tsinghua University, including the implementation of an image monitoring system aimed at reducing surgical failure rates in total knee arthroplasty and the creation of a comprehensive dataset for video person re-identification. Zhi Bie holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, with additional studies at ETH Zürich in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering.
