Fred Livingston

Fred Livingston has a diverse work experience starting from 2000. Fred started as a Consultant at Appian Corporation, where they managed the design, development, and marketing of a web-based portal software solution. Fred also worked directly with senior management and formed strategic partnerships.

In 2001, they joined Physiome Sciences as a Scientist, where they coordinated marketing efforts, presented software to customers, and designed software for systems biology and mathematical modeling.

From 2003 to 2011, Fred worked at Molecular Devices, initially as an Applications Scientist, giving seminars and running demos for prospective customers. Fred then transitioned to sales roles, selling imaging systems and achieving high quotas.

At Horizon Discovery from 2011 to 2013, Fred served as a Senior Business Development Executive, maintaining relationships with key accounts and bringing in significant contracts for drug discovery services.

Since 2013, Fred has been with OpenEye, Cadence Molecular Sciences. Fred started as an Account Manager and later became the Director of Western North American Sales, Software Partnerships, & Asia Business. Currently, they hold the role of Group Director, Scientific Sales.

Overall, Fred has a strong background in sales, business development, and software development, with a focus on scientific and pharmaceutical industries.

Fred Livingston obtained a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Duke University between 1994 and 2000. Prior to that, they received a B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, completing their undergraduate studies from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their degrees, Fred achieved a certification in "Great Demo! and Doing Discovery Practitioner" from Great Demo! in May 2023.
