Sonja Braun-Sand

Sonja Braun-Sand has extensive work experience in scientific and academic roles. Sonja is currently working as a Scientific Liaison at OpenEye Scientific since January 2022. Previously, from October 2015 to January 2022, Sonja Braun-Sand served as the Chief Scientist at In Silico Chemical Consulting. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from August 2005 to October 2015. Sonja started their career as a Postdoc at the University of Southern California in 2003 and continued in that role until 2005. Overall, Sonja Braun-Sand has a strong background in scientific research, consulting, and academia.

Sonja Braun-Sand's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from South Dakota State University from 1994 to 1998. Sonja then pursued a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame from 1998 to 2003. More recently, from 2021 to 2022, Sonja obtained a Certificate in Data Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
