Melissa Stratton

Melissa Stratton currently serves as a Pro Bono Coordinator at Opening Doors since December 2022. Stratton has extensive experience in legal services, having worked as a Consultant and Staff Attorney at Dakota Plains Legal Services starting in August 2021, and as a Summer Intern at the Yolo County Public Defender in mid-2020. Prior roles include a Research Assistant for Professor Lisa R. Pruitt at the University of California, Davis - School of Law, and a Summer Law Clerk at Legal Services of Northern California. Stratton's background also includes positions as Partner Relations Manager at Equip Mortgage, Librarian/Art Educator, and Instructor of Technology at Red Cloud Indian School. Stratton earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Middle East/South Asia Studies from the same institution.
