Prior to starting OpenINSIGHTS, Angel was the Chief Innovation Officer at SmarterHQ. During their time at SmarterHQ, Angel was responsible for developing and executing the company's innovation strategy.

Angel has over 20 years of experience in product strategy and management. Angel has a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Angel is a strategic thinker with a passion for technology and its ability to transform businesses.

Angel Morales has a certification in data science from The Johns Hopkins University. They also have certified training in Microsoft Business Intelligence from Symphic. In addition, they have a certification in Predictive Based Analytics for Business, Marketing, and Web from eMetrics / Predictions Impact. Lastly, they are an adjunct professor at The University of British Columbia.
