Varsha Raj

Varsha Raj has a strong background in data science, visualization, and analysis. Varsha is currently working as a Data Scientist at Openly since February 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Fulton Financial Corporation as a Senior Data Science & Visualization Engineer from August 2019 to February 2021.

Varsha's earlier experience includes working at Philadelphia Water Department as a Developer, where they conducted data-driven analysis on climate data and utilized geospatial data to analyze regional climate and extreme weather events. Varsha also performed statistical computation on Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) performance data to generate meaningful insights. Varsha was with Philadelphia Water Department from October 2015 to August 2019.

Before joining the Philadelphia Water Department, Varsha worked as a Staff Engineer at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services for nine months in 2015.

Their work experience also includes various roles at Drexel University, where they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2012 to September 2012. Varsha was a Research Assistant at Olson Lab at Drexel University from June 2012 to January 2013, and they also focused on Statistical Methods for Safety Incident Evaluation related to Marcellus Shale Activity from January 2013 to March 2013.

Additionally, Varsha has experience as a Graduate Trainee at TVS Motor Company from August 2009 to August 2010.

Varsha Raj pursued their education in a variety of fields. In 2011, they enrolled at Drexel University, where they obtained their Master's degree in Environmental Engineering in 2013. Varsha further expanded their knowledge in Data Analytics by completing a Nanodegree program at Udacity in 2018. Additionally, Varsha earned several certifications to enhance their expertise. In 2014, they completed "Computing for Data Analysis" through Coursera. In 2018, they obtained a certification in "Data Analytics" from Udacity. In 2020, they successfully completed a certification in "Customer Analytics" from Coursera. Their most recent certification, "AI Product Manager," was obtained from Udacity in March 2022.
