Jorge Cataldo has over 25 years of experience in the technology sector. In 1992, they joined Kohl Ind.Com. as Chief Operating Officer and Board Member, where they were responsible for studying the economic feasibility, getting approvals for devices from the governmental office INT, and researching and monitoring in the patents governmental office INPI. In 1995, they became Executive Director at Kohl Elevadores, where they were responsible for preparing the company to be bought by the Otis Elevator Group. In 1998, they designed the processes for prospecting and participating in large public bids. In 2003, they joined Ibmec as Head of Partnerships Business Unit, Academic Manager & Associate Professor, and Product Manager for Executive Education. In 2007, they started the Partner Unit, which contributed to a substantial organic growth in the number of graduate students. From 2010 to 2011, they were Executive Director at JJ Coimbra (Portuguese Family Office), where they were responsible for managing the annual budget of BusTV Brazil. In 2012, they co-founded WelcomeSingularity and Quatix Tecnologia, where they were responsible for overseeing the strategic plan of the company and managing the annual budget, respectively. In 2015, they became Head of Corporate Learning Business Unit at Estácio and Product Manager for Corporate Learning, where they were responsible for analyzing the market and operational processes for creating new solutions for corporate learning and development. In 2018, they joined Proseek as CTO. In 2019, they became Senior Writer for the Learning (Expert) Project. Finally, in 2020, they co-founded openpbl.ai | ProblemsPeoplePlay, where they are responsible for defining the values of the company and leading the company as CEO.
Jorge Cataldo has an extensive educational background. In 1983, they earned an Engineer's Degree in Mechanics of Aeronautical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA. In 1988, they completed a Graduate Level in Importação e Exportação from the Fundação Centro de Estudos em Comércio Exterior - Funcex. In 1989, they completed a Graduate Level in Economy - Capital Market from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2000, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2001, they earned a Master's Degree in Management from Ibmec. In 2008, they completed a CPCL - Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning from Harvard Business School. In 2014, they earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Finally, they are currently pursuing a Doctor's degree in Philosophy from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
