Hemant Mahidhara

Hemant Mahidhara has over 20 years of work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Hemant is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at OpenRisk Technologies Inc. since January 2022.

Prior to their current role, Hemant worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at Citadel Information Services from April 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they held the position of Senior Architect at Mphasis from February 2016 to April 2020.

Hemant has also worked at prominent financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs and Bank of America. At Goldman Sachs, they served as a Vice President from January 2015 to February 2016. Hemant'sresponsibilities included being part of the technology team responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Treasury Operations Platform. Hemant was also responsible for the real-time AML and OFAC scanning module.

At Bank of America, Hemant held the role of Vice President from February 2013 to January 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Java Consultant from August 2010 to January 2013.

Hemant's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Software Engineer at Charles River Development from February 2009 to August 2010. Hemant was involved in designing and implementing complex functionality for the flagship web application used to monitor and manage real-time portfolio, equity, fixed income, and derivative trading.

Before that, Hemant worked as a Team Lead at EventMonitor from January 2002 to February 2009. Hemant led a team of developers in designing, implementing, testing, deploying, and supporting various real-time research management, portfolio management, and investment opportunity detection systems for multi-billion dollar financial institutions.

Hemant started their career as a Software Engineer at Electron Economy in August 2000, where they participated in the development of a distributed, component-based, reusable connectivity tool.

Hemant also worked as a Software Engineer (Consultant) at Verizon from February 2000 to August 2000, where they contributed to the development of an e-commerce application for ordering telephone connections over the Internet.

Hemant's earliest work experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Frito Lay from June 1999 to February 2000, where they worked on a user services facility that provided services such as user authentication, user session management, user profile management, and user administration.

Hemant Mahidhara completed a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University between 1992 and 1996. Following that, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science from Jackson State University. In May 2017, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
