Louise Potzeldt has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Senior Operations Manager at OpenSC, an impact venture that focuses on sustainable and ethical supply chains. Prior to this, they held the position of Operations Manager at OpenSC, where they played a key role in using data science and machine learning to verify claims about sustainable and ethical production.
Before joining OpenSC, Louise worked as the Head of International Research at 2b AHEAD ThinkTank GmbH, where they contributed to consulting projects. Louise also worked as a Praktikantin in Bereich Consulting at the same company for a brief period.
Louise has a strong background in music, having worked at the West Australian Symphony Orchestra as an Associate Principal Cello and later as a Casual Cello. During their time with the orchestra, they collaborated with renowned conductor Asher Fisch and contributed to community engagement initiatives.
Apart from their orchestral work, Louise has been self-employed as a Cellist and Cello Teacher. Louise has performed with various ensembles, including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. In addition to their performances, they have trained and mentored students of different ages, helping them overcome performance anxiety and develop their skills.
In 2017, Louise founded an arts start-up called Ensembly, and in 2018, they had guest roles as a Cellist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Louise has also worked as Co-director of String Orchestra and Quartet tutor at Penrhos College, as well as a Sessional Cello Tutor at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

- From 2019 to 2021, they attended HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, Advanced Track.
- Between 2008 and 2011, Louise Potzeldt studied at Colburn School, specializing in Cello with Ronald Leonard. Louise earned an Artist Diploma during this period.
- From 2005 to 2007, they attended Elder Conservatorium of Music, Adelaide University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Music (Performance) with a major in Cello under the guidance of Janis Laurs.
- In 2008 and 2004, Louise Potzeldt participated in the Advanced Performance Program at the Australian National Academy of Music, focusing on Cello.
In addition to their formal education, they obtained the certification for Intermediate Python for Data Science from DataCamp in December 2019.
