Bharani Vasudev Setlur

Chief Product Officer at Operabase

I am currently Chief Product Officer at Operabase. Previously I was a partner at Anthill Ventures, an early growth stage VC fund. I have a blend of entrepreneurial, investment, and product experience in scaling consumer internet, SaaS, marketplaces, and analytics product businesses. I started my career in design, and have progressed through product management, P&L management and specifically building and scaling internet products.

I have built products and businesses in mobile computing, communications and entertainment applications, news and digital media, analytics, marketing, advertising and sales automation, jobs and recruitment. I have built, scaled, and turned around product businesses across B2B and B2C internet ecosystems.

As an entrepreneur, I sold my startup to MuSigma (their first acquisition) and have gone on to pursue leadership positions at companies at different stages of growth (Unicorn, Series A&B as well as a bootstrapped startup)

At Anthill Ventures, I set up the Bangalore practice as a partner and pursued investment and market opportunities in disruptive products, technologies, science, and design. I have constructed and run accelerators/market access programs in Healthcare as well as Retail and Consumer tech.

Prior to this, I built a product and business lines for Babajob and Belong, focused on reimagining team-building, with a strong technology & data science impetus. Both stints resulted in manifold growth in business and company size.
