David Helmlinger

David Helmlinger has a diverse range of work experience in product development engineering and management roles. David served as Director of Product Development Engineering at OPEX Corporation starting in 2006. Prior to that, they worked at Parallel Products as CTO and Manager of Product Development from 2003 to 2006. From 2000 to 2004, they were Manager of Product Development Engineering at Mattel, Inc. David also worked at GE Appliances, a Haier Company, as a Team Lead in New Product Development Engineering from 1998 to 2000. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research & Development Engineer at Nederman Pneumafil and as a Lead Design Engineer at Industrial Piping Incorporated.

David Helmlinger has pursued multiple fields of study throughout their education. David initially attended the University of South Florida, where they studied Mechanical Engineering and Psychology. David then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they focused on Applied Mathematics. Returning to the University of South Florida, David completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. David subsequently returned to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to obtain a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics, which they successfully completed in 1994.
