Richard Benedict Laig

Richard Benedict Laig has had a varied and extensive career in finance and aviation. In 2021, they began working as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Director of Tokenomics at OP Games (Alto.io). Prior to this, they were Chief Financial Officer at Royal Air Philippines from 2019 to 2021, Alto.io from 2017 to 2019, and PowerSource Group from 2016 to 2017. Richard Benedict also held the role of Financial Advisor at Altitude Games Pte. Ltd. from 2015 to 2016. From 2014 to 2016, they were Partner, Asia Pacific and Chief Financial Officer at Mango Aviation Partners Ltd. Richard Benedict was Project Manager at Aviation Talent from 2014 to 2015, Managing Director at Ventana Aviation Academy from 2014 to 2015, and Airline Start-up Project Manager at African Start-up Low Cost Carrier (Project RAIN) from 2014 to 2015. Finally, from 2013 to 2014, they were Project Manager - Finance and Talent at Hong Kong Express (UO).

Richard Benedict Laig obtained their High School degree from the Philippine Science High School in 1989. Richard Benedict then attended the University of the Philippines from 1989 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Richard Benedict went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the Philippine School of Business Administration from 1991 to 1994, and obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Professional Regulation Commission (Philippines) in October 1994. Finally, they completed a Master in Business Management (MBM) with a major in Finance and General Management at the Asian Institute of Management from 1997 to 1999.
